Braun Multiquick Professional Hand Blender
Braun Multiquick Professional Hand Blender is powerful, versatile, and easy to
clean piece of equipment. The cord is a good length and does not seem to get in my way. It has the power to crush
ice, make good hummus, and blend just about anything. However, as I note below, it is NOT invulnerable, and that is
to be expected. It has a larger chopper, which is nice. It functions well as a small food processor. The variable
speed works well and the turbo setting is useful to crank up the power instantly if needed. This new design also
makes it easier to clean because there is no longer an inaccessible cavity around the drive shaft to gradually get
more and more icky. I also just used the chopping attachment very successfully on some cranberries and pine nuts.
Key difference between Braun Multiquick Professional Hand Blender and a lot of other similar
devices is the : 400 watts, compact size, and sturdy build. The solid design also makes it the easiest kitchen
clean up I can imagine: Pop off the bottom half with the blade and run it under hot water in the sink - done in 10
seconds.
I found this blender can do everything you throw at it: raw food prep (yes with lots of
nuts/pates etc. - it all works), smoothies while traveling etc. It's about a quart or more and you just attach the
handheld to the top of the blender carafe and that's it. The included carafe is also super easy to clean because
the rotate blade inside comes out - so it's two pieces.
It is handy and easy to use, but I must warn to make sure you stick right by it and keep your
hand on top when you're using the little cup thingy because the lid only slides sideways to lock so once it came
apart and I had a big mess. Other than that if you handle it well it's a great tool in the kitchen. This blender is
easy to wash and I like the way only the top has the access to the electricity and it doesn't have to get near any
water, you simply remove it and then work with the others pieces. Once you try this tool, you'll see that it's
actually quite safe, with a little basic precautions -- make sure you stick the probe all the way to the bottom
(don't worry, the blades will pull all the food down to be thoroughly blended), and make sure you have about 2
inches of food in the bottom. Braun Multiquick Professional Hand Blender is indespensable for making soups and
sauses, like spaghetti sauce (I like to add a couple cooked carrots and puree it with the sauce). This particular
model works great! The puree comes out even and smooth every time. I Highly recommend this product.
